ALDYTH MAYOLA (HUNT) EWALD Born December 19, 1912 in Newton, Illinois and passed away on September 19, 2009 in Northridge, California. She was 96 years and she lived 20 years in Ventura before moving into an assisted care center. Aldyth is survived by her loving son, Bruce Ewald; daughters-in-law, Ruth and Melinda Ewald; granddaughter, Wendy Hagan and her husband, Micah Hagan; great grandsons, Kiernan and Miles Hagan; and step great granddaughter, Kayla Smith. A celebration of life service will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Sunday, October 4, 2009, in the Congregational Church of Northridge, 9659 Balboa Blvd., Northridge, California, with Pastor Rodger Barkley presiding.

EVERETT-Hulbert Hale (Hap) Everett, passed away peacefully at home in Pasadena, with his family by his side on September 18, 2009. Hap was born in Hillsborough, California, on November 8, 1921, and lived in Pasadena for over 50 years. He was predeceased in 19 94 by his wife of 42 years, Mary Helen Hoag, in 2000 by his second wife, Doris Ann Williams, in 1994 by his sister, Janaan Everett, in 2008 by Doris Ann’s daughter, Martha Williams, and in 2008 by companion, Janet Folks. He is survived by his two brothers, George and Richard, his three children, John (Nancy), Betsy (Mike) Martin and Jim, his grandson, Christopher Everett, his niece Martha Everett, and Doris Ann’s children, William (Melissa) Williams III, John (Margaret) Williams and Nancy (Charles) Shea and Doris Ann’s grandchildren, Peter, Timothy, Phelps and Louisa Williams and William and Sarah Shea. Hap leaves behind many cherished friends. Hap graduated from Midland School and then attended Stanford University from which he graduated with a degree in journalism after serving with the United States Marine Corps in World War II. His professional life included careers in newspaper publishing and journalism, public relations, and insurance. In retirement, he was active with the Pasadena Senior Center. Hap de voted his life to his family and his many friends. & nbsp; His passions included body-surfing, baseball and Stanford sports. The family requests that in lieu of flowers a memorial donation in Hap’s name be made to Union Station Homeless Services located at 825 E. Orange Grove Blvd., Pasadena, CA 91104 (626) 240-4550. Private family services will be held.

She met her loving husband of 53 years, Del Griese, and married in 1956. They had their first child, Todd in 1957 and moved to California in 1959. Once in California, two more children followed, Chance and Shannon. Del and Janet worked hard and forged a life together that has provided abundant opportunities for their children., Janet loved to read, travel, but most of all she treasured her grandchildren, Kelsey, Kyle, Chandler and Cameron. Their “Tutu” will surely be missed. Janet , wife, mom, grandmother, sister and friend our hearts are saddened and we will miss you, but we are also confident that you are safe, content and reunited with your son, Chance . God Bless., Janet was preceded in death by her son, Chance;her mother and father , James and Mary Beilmeyer; sister, Annie; brothers, Bob and Allen. She is survived by her husband Del of 53 years; son, Todd Griese (wife , Christine); daughter, Shannon Hudson (husband, Jim); grandchildren, Kelsey, Kyle, Chandler and Cameron; sister, Pat Griggs (husband, Lew)., A mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, September 29 at 10a.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Chapel, 2532 Ventura Blvd, Camarillo.
