HOLM, Beverly was born June 11, 1932, and died September 20, 2009. At the age of 18 she was crowned Miss Los Angeles County, and toured with Hank Williams with his traveling show in the 1950’s. She was most proud of her two sons, Steve and Brad Barlow and her 4 grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, John Holm; and sisters, Gloria and Jeri.

William L. Hitchcock III 1932 - 2009 Bill Hitchcock, a highly respected member of the Southern California racing community, passed away August 17, 2009, at his home after a battle with lung cancer. He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, in 1932, the son of W.L. and Dorothy (Reush) Hitchcock. He moved to Long Beach at age 8. At the age of 17 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in the Mediterranean for four years. After his discharge, he started building and racing sports cars. A few years later he opened his own business, Hi-Performance Electronic Engine Balancing, which he managed for 30 years. After he retired, he lived in Utah, in a beautiful wooded area near BLM land, where he loved to hunt deer. Four years later he moved back to Long Beach to be closer to his family. He will be dearly missed by the love of his life and wife of 48 years, Shirlee; sons, Skitch and Garry; and daughters, Shirlee II, Devra and Jane. A memorial service was held at the Hitchcock home in Belmont Hei ghts on September 13, 2009.

MARY IRVIN Born on July 4, 1930, in Poteau , Oklahoma . Passed away September 19, 2009, in Sacramento, California. Mary Irvin worked as a Psychiatric Technician with the mentally ill and developmentally disabled for over 30 years in several state hospitals in California. After her retirement, she moved from Cama rillo, California, to Sacramento, California, to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She brought years of wisdom and experience with that move and went on to work for Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the California Department of Aging and the California State Lottery, making good friends wherever she worked. She will be remembered for her love of family, family reunions in Lake Tahoe and playing Scrabble. She is survived by her daughters, Kathi Stewart (Fred), Lori Sutton (Thom); sisters, Dori, Jackie, Prissy (Tony), Judy (Bob); brother, Joe (Marianne); and her much loved grandchildren, Justin (Raechelle), Megan, Carianne, Kyle; and great grandson, Bryce Riley. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. We would like to thank the staff at Rosewood Terrace for taking such good care of our mother. They were incredible. Funeral arrangements will be private and with her family in Southern California.

Katherine Robinson Jackson passed from this earthly life to eternal life on September 20, 2009. She was born to the union of Willie and Hattie Robinson on May 11, 1928 in Montgomery, Alabama. She met and married Mose Jackson Sr. on December 10, 1945 in Montgomery, Alabama; from this union there were 13 children. She moved to Oxnard in 1960 from Felixstowe, England where her husband was a Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force stationed at Bent Waters Air Force Base. She worked as a civil service custodian for the U.S. Postal Office. Katherine was a life long member of New Progressice Missionary Baptist Church. She was church secretary, President of Mission Society, Deaconess, Board member, and served faithfully on the communion board. Katherine is preceded in death by her children Ronald Jackson (Patricia) and John Willis and survived by, Mose Jackson Jr. (Alice), Herman Jackson (Chris), Luedora J. Brown (Milton Leon), Veronica Naillon, Frank C. Jackson (Debra), Clara Jean Ingram (Williams “George”), Kitty K. Jackson, Sharon Baker (Michael), Gary Jackson, Faye Rheiner (Bruce), and Katrina E. Jackson; 35 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, September 28, 2009 at Garcia Mortuary Chapel. Katherine’s Celebration of Llife Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Bethel AME Church, 855 South F Street, Oxnard, CA. Interment will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the family owned and operated Garcia Mortuary, 629 South A Street, Oxnard, California. He was born on November 22, 1947 in San Marcelino, Philippines to Emiliano and Dolores Lara. He spent most of his formative years in San Diego, California, attending Coronado High School. In 1966, he joined the US Navy and served as a Logs & Record Supervisor. His decorations included the Vietnam Service Medal with 2 stars, Presidential Unit Citation and the Vietnam Gallantry Cross, to name a few. He retired in 1986 from Point Mugu, NAS and continued to reside in Oxnard., After retirement, he remained employed with the federal government as an Aircraft Library Tech for DynCorp International until late 2008. Ed was a fun, loving, caring, and outgoing. He enjoyed training and taking his dogs for walks, playing with his iphone, and learning about computers., He liked watching boxing as well as Filipino movies. He also took pride in maintaining his garden. His greatest treasure in life was his family., He is survived by his wife Veronica Lara; sons Eric and Erwin; daughter Vanessa Lara Alcisto; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Ferraris Lara; son-in-law, Jay Alcisto; granddaughter, Jerica Lara; grandsons Kainoa Manzano, Joshua Alcisto, Micah Alcisto; brother, Edwin and sister-in-law Cathy Soria Lara; nephews Emersyn and Earl Lara; sister Dinah Francia and brother-in-law Alejandro Francia., “Dad, we love you & we will miss you very much! Thank you for being such a wonderful father! You will be dearly missed. This is not good-bye, as we will see you again in God’s Country!”, A visitation for Edgar will be held Friday, October 2nd, 2009 from 5 - 9 pm located at the Funeraria Del Angel Conrad-Carroll, 401 W. Lorraine D. Litou, Dec. 21, 1930 - Sept. 17, 2009, Lorraine D. Litou passed away September 17, 2009 in Stockton, CA at the age of 78 years. She, was born December 21, 1930 to, Joseph and Mildred Bertotti in Stockton, CA. Lorraine graduated from Stockton High School and from there she went to Humphrey’s Business College. She was a member of St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Stockton., Lorraine was the loving wife to Nelson Litou. Devoted mother to Stacie Rivers and Becky Moreno. Caring grandmother to Catherine Prato, Amber Moreno, Andrew Prato, Christine Prato and Anthony Prato. Cherished great grandmother to Aubrey Moreno. Lorraine is preceded in death by her brother Ed Bertotti and 2 grandchildren Brandi Moreno and Chad Moreno. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service held at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, 4910 Claremont Avenue, Stockton, CA 95207, on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at 11:00 a.m.

FELICIA ANNA MAESTAS Age 39, of Colton, CA, passed away on September 17, 2009, in Colton. She was a beloved Mother, Daughter, Wife and Sister. Felicia was born in San Bernardino, CA, on September 16, 1970. Felicia lived most of her life in Colton, but also spent time in Monterey and San Diego, CA. Survivors include husband, Daniel; daughter, Jacelyn; mother, Vangie Moyeda; her father, Angel Moyeda (Ja nice); siblings, Deanna (Tim Lakin), Jessica and Angel Moyeda; and several beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. Rosary will be recited at Montecito in Colton, CA, on Tuesday, September 29, beginning at 7 P.M. with Visitation from 6 - 8 P.M. Mass will be served at San Salvador Church, Colton, on Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at 10 A.M. Burial Services to follow at Green Acres Memorial Park in Bloomington, CA. Felicia lived life to the fullest, she was a generous soul and was the source of much laughter and love. Those who knew her well were blessed and very fortunate to have such a caring person in our lives. Felicia, we love you and will always think of you and smile, someday we will see you again. You will be greatly missed.

ADALINE (DOLLY) MOORE Safe In The Arms Of Jesus, September 22, 2009, having lived and loved for 80 years. She was our precious gift from God and a blessing to all who were privileged to know her. Born November 22, 1928, in Stamford, Connecticut, to Italian immigrants, Antonio DiGiacomo and Nuniza Nardelli. Dolly married Benjamin “Ben” Moore and together with their children moved to Redlands in 1966. Ben and Dolly established Ben Moore Insurance Agency in 1968. Their son, Christopher J. Moore joined in with growing the family business while still in school in 1980. Through the purchase of another insurance agency, enhancement of the name to Saint Moore Insurance Agency, and to the day of her passing, Dolly performed the duties as the bookkeeper. Dolly is joined in heaven with Ben, who preceded her passing as well as her adoring sister, Tina Calabrese, brothers, “Pat” and George DiGiacomo, daughter, Sharon Clark, son, Kevin Moo re, and grandson, Brent Simon. She is survived by her loving family, Dom Calabrese, brother-in-law; Mae DiGiacomo, sister-in-law; and God daughter, Nancy (Rick) Ritacco; children, Colleen (Bill) Simon, Bill (Dana) Moore, Karen Moore, and Chris (Malia) Moore; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Adaline was Beloved, and an extraordinary, giving, caring lady. She always made everyone who knew or had just met her feel as if they were a part of her family. She always had a smile o n her face and a heart full of unconditional love for anyone who needed it. She found the good in everything and every person. She loved and honored God in the way she lived her life. She will be greatly missed by family, friends, co-workers and clients.
