Aurelio Sanchez “Leo”
Passed away in Rohnert Park on October 28, 2009. Dearly beloved husband of 55 years of Dolores Sanchez of Rohnert Park; loving father of Robert Sanchez (Peggy) of Sebastopol; Michael Sanchez (Christine) of Roseville; Richard Sanchez (Lisa) of Lafayette; Theresa Callinan (Gary) of Rohnert Park; Mark Sanchez (Teresa) of Orinda; Linda Gleason (Philip) of AZ; and Timothy Sanchez (Amy) of Concord; adored grandfather of twenty four and great grandfather of five; dear brother of Nick Sanchez (Lita); Mary Calibuso (Adore); Anita Guiterrez (Jeremis); Carmen Magno (Manny); Rosa Fernandez (Eddie); and Juling Villanueva (Jose). Preceded in death by his son Steven Sanchez; siblings Francisco, Virgil, Patring and Charing; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other family member and friends. Leo served first in the U.S. Navy and later in the United States Air Force retiring in 1965. Following his retirement from the service he was an Executive Chef at numerous locations in Sonoma County and the Bay Area, among them the Santa Rosa Golf and Country Club and the Fleet Admiral Nimitz Club. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Monday, November 2, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. at St Joseph Catholic Church, 150 St Joseph Way, Cotati, private inurnment.
