Passed away in Santa Rosa on November 11, 2009. Born in Kansas City, KS, she moved to Colorado as a child. There she met and married the late Fred Hull. They moved to California in 1958. Carol was a partner in the Clothes Tree dress Shop in Larkfield and later a partner in the Flamingo Travel Agency. Carol put her energy into teaching English as a second language (ESL) for eight years in the Santa Rosa Public School System and working closely with special needs students. She was a member of the Red Hat Society for the past six years, and continued to volunteer at the Valley of the Moon Children’s Home until the time of her death, as she enjoyed a great rapport with children. After retirement Carol and Fred traveled extensively with friends but also enjoyed Sonoma County to the fullest. Carol moved to Spring Lake Village where she continued to make new friends, always with a smile and a helping hand. She was active in the choir at the Presbyterian Church of the Roses, and will be greatly missed by her friends and family. Carol is survived by her daughters Robyn Enos of HI, Lynda West (Donald Stratton) of Oakland, and Frederick L. Hull “Rick” of Santa Rosa; her grandson Aaron Enos of HI; twin brothers Richark Kammeyer and Ron Kammeyer. Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of her life on Sunday, November 29, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church of the Roses, 2500 Patio Ct, Santa Rosa. Private inurnment. Stockton, CA, Chuck Chow, March 7, 1922 - November 18, 2009, With his family at his side Chuck Chow passed away peacefully on November 18. He was a 70-year Stockton resident, having emigrated here in 1939 from his birthplace in Kwantung Province, China. Mr. Chow was born March 7, 1922., He is survived by his wife of 62 years, May, and their children Henry Chow (wife Barbara), Bill Chow (wife Junie Yip-Chow), Lani Mah (husband Robert Mah) and Wesley Chow; grandchildren Tiffini Chow, Bruce Reyes-Chow (wife Robin Pugh), Trina Chow (husband Dick Craddock), Kenneth Mah and Cheri Mah; and great-granddaughters Evelyn, Abigail and Analise Pugh. While supporting his mother (now deceased) who wanted to stay in China, he sponsored other relatives in their immigration to the U.S., He was only sixteen when he arrived in Stockton and attended English classes while learning to become a butcher. After a 44-year career, Mr. Chow retired in 1987 from Western Veal in Modesto. A World War II veteran, he served with the U.S. Army in the South Pacific islands campaign and was a member of the U.S. occupation forces in Tokyo. An avid traveler, he visited China four times as well as other countries in Asia and Europe and throughout the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean. Mr. Chow was a past president of Gee Duck Association of Stockton., Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, November 28, from 5-6 p.m. at Chapel of the Palms, 303 S. California St., Stockton. Memorial services will be held Sunday, November 29, at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be Monday, November 30, at noon at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1000 El Camino Real, Colma.

Clyde Thomas Overman went to be with the Lord November 19, 2009. He was born October 21, 1927 in Durham, N.C. to Lottie and Ernest Overman. He retired from Ace Hardware in La Quinta, Calif. He married Rachel LaFaye Whitfield on April 18, 1947. They were married over 62 years. He was known by his friends as Tom and his wife as Faye. He was a radioman in Coast Guard and called back to the Navy during the Korean War. He was the most honest and kindest man you could know, and loved by everyone who knew him. His family was by his side when he passed away. Tom is survived by two sons and two daughters, Bob Overman of White House, Texas, Richard (Karen) Overman of Harrison, Ark., Tina Huffman of Palm Desert, Calif., James Huffman of Indio, Calif., Randy Dietz Sr. of Palm Desert, Calif., Cheryl Overman of Desert Center, Calif.; grandchildren, Summer Oshaben, Randy Deitz Jr., Tamara Vallier, Donald Vallier, Tommy Ellis, Deborah Ellis, Lisa Overman, Mark Overman, Donnie Overman, Yvonne Overman, Cincent Andersor; 48 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. He is now rejoicing in Heaven with his parents; a granddaughter, Kathy Michel; and his step-dad, Oris O’Neal Tetachuck. You will remain in our hearts and loved until we meet again in Heaven. A Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 25, 2009 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM with a funeral service to follow at 3:00 PM in the Ramon Chapel. Interment will be held immediately after the funeral service in the mausoleum of Forest Lawn Cathedral City. Forest Lawn Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Passed away November 19, 2009. He was born in Harrisburg, PA on January 29, 1921. He is survived by his wife Mary; two sons, Gerald Fitzpatrick and his wife Patricia and James Fitzpatrick, Jr. and his wife Melinda; grandchildren, Clint, Thaddeus James, Jordan, Janette and Kyle Fitzpatrick; and stepchildren Mike and Molly Holmes, Scott and Kathy Brady, Jean Aquino and Tim and Nancy Branstetter. Jim attended Pennsylvania State College and joined the Army Air Corps as an aviation cadet. He was commissioned a second lieutenant in 1943. In 1948, Jim was promoted to Major and was assigned to the Air Force Reserve Officers training program, serving as an assistant professor of air science at Rutgers University and Stevens Institute of Technology. He subsequently earned a degree in mechanical engineering from Stevens in 1953. In 1960, Jim was assigned to the Rocket Propulsion Laboratory at Edwards Air Force Base, where he served as chief of the Liquid Propulsion Division. In 1964, Jim was transferred to the Pentagon. During his assignment at the Pentagon, he was promoted to Colonel and was responsible for the Titan III space booster, standard launch vehicles and the large solid motors program. In 1970, he became chief of the Defense Intelligence Agency office, responsible for aerospace systems definitions of collection and surveillance requirements. After 30 years of service Jim retired from active duty. Later that year he accepted a position at Lockheed from which he retired in 1984. During Jim’s military career he was involved with the development of the first spy satellite program called Corona. He was also instrumental in the writing and research for the book, “Corona Between the Sun and the Earth.” Upon his retirement, he moved to Bodega Harbour where he served on the board of the PUD. He enjoyed golf and playing bridge. Jim and Mary enjoyed traveling, in particular their trip to Ireland and weekend getaways to the Mendocino Coast. Jim loved to watch baseball, golf and football. Jim was also an avid reader, finishing two books that he was reading on his Iphone, the week before his passing. Jim was a true gentleman and will be missed by everyone who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at St. Philips Catholic Church in Occidental at 11:00 am. Inurnment will be at Arlington National Cemetery. The family prefers memorials be made to: the Rural Food Program, c/o St. Philip’s Parish, P.O. Box 339, Occidental, CA 95465.
