Arick Mathios
Arick James Mathios Sept. 6, 1921 - Dec . 24, 2009 Passed away peacefully on December 24, 2009 at the age of 88. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Nickie Mathios and son James G. Mathios. Survived by his loving son John Mathios, daughters-in-law Aleta Mathios and Diane Mathios, precious grand-daughters Jeanette Mathios and Gina Mathios, his devoted sisters Madelaine Petropoulos, Sophie Parashis, Marion Parashis and the late Georgia Lynn Mathios. Arick served in the Army during WW II and received the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star and Good Conduct medals. He was a longshoreman for 42 years and a dedicated member of the Greek Church. Arick cherished his life and all those that shared it. Viewing will be at Duggan’s Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave, Daly City, from 3:00 to 9:00pm Tuesday Dec 29th with the Trisagion Service at 7:00pm. The funeral will be held Wed Dec 30th 10:30am at the Church of the Holy Cross, 900 Alameda De Las Pulgas, Belmont, CA. Burial to follow at Greek Orthodox Cemetery, Colma.
