Brunkhorst, Kenneth
In 1923 his family moved to Unity, Wis. and ran a farm and a tavern throughout the depression years. After high school he had a stint in the National Guard and then a two year service in the army during World War II. After the war he returned to Milwaukee, Wis. and in 1945 he married his loving wife Leona (Kubacki)., Kenneth had a career in sales in Wisconsin until 1964 when he moved his family to Culver City, CA and worked for the school district until his retirement to Camarillo, in 1985., Survivors include his wife Leona, son Randy (daughter-in-law Diana), and daughter Susan Skinner; grandchildren Niles, Kelci and Alan; sister-in-laws Sylvia Mueller, Virginia Engbring and Evelyn Kubacki; brother-in-law Norman Engbring and numerous nieces and nephews. Kenneth was preceded in death by his son Kenneth Jr., and siblings Arlyn, Henry, Marjorie, Helen, Doris, Delore, Audrey, James, Robert and Jack; brother-in-laws Harry Kubacki and Edward Mueller., Kenneth’s generosity and sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew him and he will remain forever in our hearts. A memorial service will be held at Griffin Family Funeral Chapel, 1075 E. Daily Dr., Camarillo at 2 p.m. on Tuesday Dec. 29.
