HEMET ALBERT PEFONIO MORREO SR. “TINY” 1948 ~ 2010 Passed away at the age of 61 at Hemet Valley Medical Center. Albert was a self-employed mechanic and handyman for 25 years. He graduated Hemet High School 1969. He loved to dance, bicycle ride, listening to music and joking around. He leaves behind his wife Sharon Modesto, daughters; Tanya, Melissa Morreo, Gretchen Lopez, Shunowa Truijillo, sons; David, Albert Jr. Matthew Morreo, brothers; Ernie, Frank & Jess Morreo, sisters: Josephine, Lucy & Rosemary Morreo. Grandchildren; Matthew Jr, Mariah, Michael Morreo; Tashina, Joseph Serna; Tanisha Zamora; Micha Morreo, Richard Martinez, Mariah, Rose, Stella, Ayiana Morreo, Rachel, Robert, Taniah Cardenas, Anthony, Aaron Hampton, David Jr, Shanay, Cheyenne, Jadin Morreo, Shanwee Demara. Great grandchildren; Adrian Murillo Jr, Elesia Serna, Victor, Angel Chavez, Monica Hernandez, Angelise Cardenas. Visitation January 29, 2010, 5pm. Rosary & Vigil 7pm at Tribal Hall-Soboba Indian Reservation, San Jacinto. Funeral January 30, 2010 10am. St. Joseph’s Catholic Church-Soboba Indian Reservation- San Jacinto. ALMA A. (KING) WELKER Age 88, passed away January 11, 2010, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born November 11, 1921 in Brookline, Massachusetts, to Harry W. King, WWI Disabled Veteran, and Ethel Wilder Crosier, a WWI Widow with a small son. In 1934 the family moved to Burbank, California. Alma graduated from Burbank High School in 1940, and then from Cosmetology Sc hool and held a license until 1983. She married Rex E. Welker March 28, 1942, in Yuma, Arizona. They belonged to many square dance clubs and to the Model T Club, both in San Fernando Valley and Las Vegas, Nevada. Alma was very talented at sewing and making afghans and quilts and various other things, including period costumes for the many parades they rode in. Alma and Rex lived in Pacoima, Mission Hills and Las Vegas. After retirement from Lockheed they moved to Pahrump, Nevada, where she lived for 26 year s. Alma is survived by son, Rex E. Welker Jr. and his wife Cathy of Mojave, California; sister, Ethel (King) Millar and her husband Lloyd; 12 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Rex E. Welker; half brother, Stuart G. Rowley; sons, Rodney K. Welker (LAPD) and wife Sandy, and Roy Lee Welker and his wife Karen; and grandson, Rex E. Welker III. Services were held in Pahrump, Nevada, as was Interment on January 16, 201 0.

ALTA M. LEE Alta was born in Oklahoma, from parents, Ran & Nettie Wood in 1923. Alta passed away January 27, 2010. She is survived by husband, Robert E. Lee; son, Robert W. Lee and daughter in law, Sheri Lee; daughter, Sandra Rodgers. Preceded in death by daughter, Donna Chillson. Alta has 6 grandchildren; 16 grea t grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. Alta worked as Sears for 13 years and has lived in San Bernardino for 66 years. There will be a Graveside Ceremony only on Friday, January 29, 2010, 2 P.M. at Montecito Memorial Park.

Ampa ro is also survived by her 4 brothers & 1 sister. Amparo was Executive Director at The Home of Neighborly Service for the past 10 years. Services will be held at Our Lady of the Rosary Cathedral, Sat., Jan. 30, 2010, 265 W. 25th St., San Bdno., CA 92405. Rosary will be held at 10:30 A.M. & Mass will follow at 11 A.M. Burial at Mt. View Cemetery.

Born in Hyderabad, India, Nick came to the United States at age 20 to attend graduate school at the University of Illinois at Champagne-Urbana. After graduating with an M.S. in mechanical engineering, Nick lived and worked in a variety of cities across the country., In 1969, while living in San Francisco, he met his wife, Jane. They married in 1972 and eventually settled in Ventura in 1983., Nick leaves behind Jane, his wife of 38 years; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Jean-Francois Barthe, and granddaughter, Paulina, of Redwood City; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Kiyo Inoue, and newborn granddaughter, Mika, of Redondo Beach; mother-in-law, Dorothy Halling, of Ventura; brother- and sister-in-law, Bob and Barbara Fischer, of Idaho; and nephews, Patrick and Andrew Fischer, of Washington state., Nick loved to travel, cook, play tennis and follow world affairs. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Our family is thankful he is now at peace. Although he left too soon, he went without regrets., We would like to thank everyone for the kindness and love they have expressed., Services will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 26, at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Rd., Ventura., In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Prostate Cancer Research Institute, India Friends Association (ISA), Assistance League of Ventura County, Casa Pacifica, Food Share or the charity of your choice., Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home and Crematory, Ventura.
