Alvin Kenneth Link
LINK-Alvin Kenneth Link, passed away February 23, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 17, 1917. He received Bachelor’s and Mas ter’s degrees from Columbia University in New York and obtained a CPA certificate from the state of New York. He served as Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer of Layne and Bowler Pump Company in the City of Industry for many years. He was active for many years with Children’s Home Society of California, a large child welfare agency, first with the Los Angeles district on its Board of Directors and later on C.H.S.’ state board, eventually being elected President. He is survived by his wife Eileen Patr icia Cole Link, four children, Diane B. Link of Alhambra, Susan L. (J. Michael) Flanagan of San Marino, Kenneth R. Link of San Marino, and Richard A. (Kathy) Link of Altadena, and four grandchildren, Ashley Flanagan Slaughter, Ryan R. Flanagan, Jonathan Link, and David Link. Memorial Mass will be Wednesday, March 3 at 1:00 pm at SS Felicitas and Perpetua, San Marino, CA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to USC Norris Cancer Center. Cabot & Sons, Pasadena Directors.
