He was awarded the perfect attendance & outstanding achievement trophies. He is survived by his parents, Anthony & Deborah Adams; brothers, Avery & Aiquan Adams; and one sister, Avesha Adams. Alfred Kinney “Bonka” Alfred Kinney Passed away peacefully on June 27, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents’ Charles Kinney and Florence Tiller. Brothers George and Jim Kinney. He lost his wife Joan in 2006. They were married for 66 years and she was the love of his life. He leaves behind his son Jim Kinney and his wife Kathy of Yuba City. Also his daughter Julie Baldwin and husband Sam of San Ramon. Al “Bonka” was a cherished grandfather to Brad Baldwin of Auburn, Scott Baldwin of San Francisco, Brian Kinney of Yuba City and step grandfather to Richard Cox of Yuba City. He always had a happy smile for his new Great grandbaby Simone. Al was born on September 22, 1918 in Baton Rouge, LA and moved to California as a young teenager. He Graduated from Yuba City High in 1936 and then attended Yuba College and Poly Tech College of Engineering. Al moved to Oakland, CA in 1939 and worked for a general engineering company during the war. He made a big decision in 1946 to start his own business in Marysville. Kinney Electric became successful and eventually moved to Bridge Street in Yuba City. The business is still successfully run by his son. Al joined and then served as a regional president of the Electrical Apparatus Service Association to stay in contact with similar businesses worldwide. He was a member of the local Elks Lodge for 59 years and served as a local past president. He also was a member of the local Moose Lodge. Al and his wife Joan loved to travel with family and friends. They traveled the world several times and constantly planned their next travel adventure. Al is now on his way to his next trip. Al “Bonka” will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Memorial Services will be Thursday, July 1, 2010 at 11:00 am at Ullrey Memorial Chapel, 817 Almond St., Yuba City. Reverend Jim Anderson will be officiating. CLARA L. BENZOR Clara L. Benzor was born December 5, 1926 in Riverside, CA. She passed away, at age 83, 06/22/10. She was preceded by her husband Ernest V. Benzor and is survived by her one sister Margarita Alvarez, five children, nine grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nephews and nieces. Her children include sons Ernie L. Benzor and Edward M. Benzor and his wife Belinda, daughters Barbara Michalewski, Betty Benzor and Joanne Benzor. Clara and Ernie raised their family in Riverside. She worked as secretary for the Casa Blanca Elementary School for many years. Later she worked in the Accounts Receivables for the Riverside Unified School District. Clara and Ernie moved to Perris, CA at the time of their retirement in 1984. Together they worked on their one acre home and transformed it into a park like setting. A Beer Garden on one side and a Gazebo, with a beautiful view of Perris Valley on the other and flowers and trees galore in between. Clara enjoyed gardening throughout her life. Clara was member of the Perris Valley Women\’s Club and St. James Guild. Clara also joined the Perris Valley Garden Club and enjoyed their many activities. Clara was a wonderful mom and will be missed by all. Services will be held at Miller Jones Mortuary, Perris, CA 07/01/10, (951) 943-8313 Visitation 10am-10:45am, Rosary at 10:45 and Services at 11am - 12:00 pm. She will be laid to rest at 1:00 pm at Riverside National Cemetery in Staging Area #5.
