George V. McLoughlin October 1, 1930 - July 25, 2010 Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends at the age of 79. He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Marianne (Fry), son Vincent McLoughlin (Michele), daughter Kathleen Mininni (Joe), daughter Patricia Ferrero (Joe), cherished grandchildren Michael McLoughlin (Laurie), Daniel and Matthew Mininni, Andrew and Kelly Ferrero and great-grandchildren Stephen and Max; brother-in-law to John Fry (Carmen) and Kelly Fry (Yolanda). Preceded in death by brother Phillip and brother-in-law Rev. Richard C. Fry. 4th generation San Franciscan and very proud of his Irish Heritage. George attended St. Anne’s Grammar School, St. Ignatius High School (class of ‘48) and University of San Francisco (class of ‘52). George began his accounting career with the Barrett and Hilp Construction Co., eventually joining his dear friends at Anderson, Rowe and Buckley in 1970, where he worked until finally retiring at age 73. George loved Giants Baseball and his San Francisco 49ers, a season ticket holder for 50+ years. He organized and ran the Experts Football Group. Treasurer of Twenty Associates Investment Group. Original member of the S.O.T.S. earthquake group (a faithful “still standing” attendee for over 30 years. Family and friends have gathered at Lake Tahoe each year where George has been holding court beside his BBQ since 1973. George’s life was full of love and generosity to family and friends. He will be greatly missed. The family would like to express our great appreciation to Dr. David Vaughan, Dr. Robert Tseng, and the doctors and staff at Davita Dialysis, Daly City for their loving care. Friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass Monday, August 2, 2010, 11:00am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 1 Elmwood Dr., Daly City.
