Kevin M. Krevda, 50, of Redondo Beach, died on August 24, 2010 after a brief illness. He is survived by his parents, Michael and Ethel Krevda of West Middlesex, PA; sisters, Sharon (Krevda) Campise of Thousand Oaks, CA and Connie (Krevda) Parker of Moorpark, CA; brother-in-laws, Jerry Campise and Craig Parker; a niece, Lisa; nephew, Anthony; and a great-niece, Kiera. Kevin was born in Brookville, PA and graduated from Clarion Area High School in 1977 and the Pennsylvania State University in 1981. Kevin relocated to the Southern California area residing close to the beach area, which he loved. Kevin worked in the auto industry for close to 30 years in sales and management. Most recently, he worked for Lexus of Westminster as a sales consultant. Kevin will be missed for his great personality, kind heart and smile filled with laughter. A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening September 1, 2010 from 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and a service will be held at 9:30 a.m. followed by a reception at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Blvd., Torrance, CA 90503 (310) 792-7599. Philip B. deFriesse, age 33, of Boca Raton, Florida, died on Sunday, August 22nd. He was born in Norwalk on January 23, 1977, beloved son of Edward A. and Dorothea (Christu) deFriesse. Philip worked as a restaurant supervisor in Florida. He enjoyed boating and loved his dog Rosco. He was a loving son, brother and uncle who will be sadly missed. In addition to his father, Edward A. deFriesse and his wife, Donna Lee of New Preston; and mother, Dorothea deFriesse and her partner, Jeff Case of Bridgewater; he is survived by his girlfriend, Jessica Grossman of Boca Raton, FL; his sister, Renee Hyatt and her husband, Hal of Ridgefield; his nephew, Hal Hyatt; and two nieces, Meghan and Tori Hyatt. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 2nd at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church in New Milford. Burial place will be announced. Philip (Phil) J. Avanzato, Sr., 89, of Clearwater and Boynton Beach, Florida, entered eternal life on Friday, August 27, 2010, at the Suncoast Hospice House Brookside in Palm Harbor, Florida. Mr. Avanzato is survived by two sons, Joseph T. Avanzato of Odessa, FL, and Philip R. Avanzato of Danbury. He is predeceased by his wife, Jean (Buscemi) Avanzato in 1997, and his only daughter, Joan C. Nelson, in 1994. Interment will be at Boynton Beach Cemetery and Mausoleum, Boynton Beach, Florida.

Robert Dallas Noble Nov. 9, 1920 - August 12, 2010 Born and raised in Berkeley, Robert Dallas Noble graduated from Berkeley High in 1938 and received his degree in economics from U.C. Berkeley in 1942. During, , he served in the U.S., , achieving the rank of First Lieutenant. He was a partner in the San Francisco insurance brokerage firm Whitney & Baird, a firm he was with for more than 45 years. He had resided in Orinda since 1972. He was a great source of support, inspiration and love to his son Scott, his daughter Christie (Stan Boren), his five grandchildren and his three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 58 years, Barbara, and by his son John (Hunter). A memorial service and reception will be held at the Veteran’s Memorial Bldg. at 3780 Mt. Diablo Blvd. in Lafayette on Saturday, September 18, from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

Robert (Bob) Kleis, age 80, passed away peacefully at home on August 28, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Margaret (Peggie) Kleis. Bob was born in Peekskill, NY on April 14, 1930, son of the late Andrew and Katharine Kleis. He was proud to have served in the, from 1948-1952. Bob was a Steamfitter by trade with Union Local No. 543 (now Local 21) of New York for 50 years. He grew up in Yonkers, NY, moved to Brewster, NY to raise his family, and has resided in Danbury for 32 years. He was an avid NY Giants fan. In addition to his wife of 56 years, he is survived by his two daughters, Diane Zelenski and husband, Michael (Zeke) of Danbury, and Peggy Aulabaugh of Wingdale, NY; two teasured grandsons, Brian Cummings and wife, Kristen, and Scott Cummings and fiancee, Brittany Boostrom, all of Fla.; one treasured granddaughter, Jenna Aulabaugh of Wingdale, NY. Also, his brother Roger Kleis and Nancy Hisaw of FL and sister, Beth Ann Kilian and her husband, John, and their three sons, John, Matthew and Scott all of NC; as well as many friends and family. His family would like to thank Dr. Robert Jarrett, Jackie and his staff for their dedication and extraordinary care and services they provided over the years. Many thanks to the Regional Hospice of Western Connecticut, especially Dodie and Gerard, for their undevoted attention to Bob and his family. The family will receive friends at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, on Tuesday, August 31 from 5 to 8 p.m. Graveside services will take place at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Danbury on Wednesday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bob’s memory may be made to the Regional Hospice of Western CT, 405 Main Street, Danbury, CT 06810.
